Painted Feathers!

One of my favorite things to do is paint feathers.

Literal feathers :D

These are all turkey feathers from a local family who raised the birds for food, painted with acrylics. Most of them have lovely iridescent detailing, because I'm kind of addicted to iridescent paints. This batch was painted over winter break. I think my favorite is the fairy.

This batch is on display and for sale at Gargoyles Statuary.  The kitsune and the phoenix in the top photo are $50, the red dragon $40, and the three big feathers in the bottom photo are $60 each.

Some pretty pearl necklaces!

The top one is made with black and red freshwater pearls and hematite beads. The bottom is white and gold freshwater pearls and seed beads.

These are now on display and for sale at Gargoyles Statuary.  The black and red piece is $40 and the white and gold is $30.
